I am so grateful for the blessing of the Gospel and all that it teaches us. Being a member of Jesus Christ's true and living gospel on the earth helps us to truly understand the love we should have for others, and how we can show that love.
Recently a sister in the congregation that I am currently blessed to serve in passed away after a life of love and service on earth. She was a great woman who was a loving mother, wife, and friend to many. She set an example of service in one who suffered severely from physical disabilities.
She was a pioneer in her family, and has always been active in sharing the blessings of the Gospel with others. A great example to those around her of love and care, Sis. Adams never thought about what she needed before she thought about what she could do for others. She made the choice to be baptized into the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, and from that moment on, she shared what she found with others, whether she new them or not.
Since being a missionary, my testimony of service and sacrifice has grown more then I can measure. I have been privileged to help others, and to see people in poor and difficult circumstances put there needs aside, and help others as well. Thanks to examples of strong willed people with faith in their Lord and in the blessings of service, like Sis. Adams, I have seen the best way to help my spiritual brothers and sisters.
I love sharing the Gospel of Jesus Christ, and I love helping my brothers and sisters with things that may be a struggle for them in their lives. I know that we can all help those around us, and I know that as we do, we build our strength both spiritually and sometimes even physically. I'm grateful to have an opportunity to serve, and I hope that we can all take more time out of our days to help those around us, like Sis. Adams helped those around her.
